Bought it used, so not as much as you think. However, part of buying it is to show kid that "it pays to do good in school", if I drove a clunker it would show them that going to school doesn't get you much.

Funny, even the track coach drives a used porche SUV, not to show off, to remind the kids that "it pays to do good in school"...

Lastly, it pays even more to do good in school and surf!!!

2004 Scion Xb here.  It's a cheap, zippy little car with lots of interior room.  I haven't tried fitting my longboard in it (I have a yakama rack) but no doubt it would work.  I think the outback is another good choice!

Just bought an '09 Honda Fit yesterday and it can easily fit my 9'6" board inside with a few inches to spare.

Actually, then still don't, had to buy it used to afford it. It does the trick, but I kinda wish I had gotten something a little more rugged for baja
