Topic: Launch Of New Re-Designed website Posted: 19 December 2006 at 1:37pm |

Hope everyone has had a chance to look at the design of the new website. It has taken us a while to find make it happen but there are a number of pieces which needed to be put in place to make this happen. They include designing a new logo, deciding what new tools to integrate, getting the right developer...who is a surfer himself, and then making it happen.
Have a great holiday season, and enjoy the NEW and IMPROVED Surfing San Diego website.
Your Surfing San Diego Team

Looks good, but I've noticed that IE makes all of the text centered, whereas firefox aligns everything nicely on the left hand side....firefox makes it much easier to read the forums....not sure if that is a setting somewhere.

Congratulations,
New site was definitely worth the wait! It looks much more hip, is easier to navigate and it seems we have quite a few new folks visiting the forums, not always members, but at least visitors. Well done!

A bad day surfing is better than a good day working.

First, good job - I like it. I'm appreciate all the hard work you guys have done while I have been surfing and drinking beer.
The centering problem happens for me too with IE 7. When I viewed the source from IE, I saw on line 37
Removing the align="center" part of the code on a local copy fixed the problem.
I would like the page to be wider too. 729 is too narrow. More content should fit on the page so we don't have to scroll too much. Maybe even no fixed width...

Another odd thing is that when I enter a comment and click the the toolbar to make an HTML link , the code is just inserted into the field. However, if I go and edit an existing comment, the dialog popups asking for the online text and URL. There are also different options available in edit than in the regular reply.
