I'm not married, but my g/f has as good a radar (for girls) as me. Good thing we have similar tastes.

If you're married, you can read the menu, but you can't order.

The king of all session reports: Tourmaline, small and didn't look too good. Thinking, watching, more coffee, watching some more. Rain and thunder => time to paddle out...
Apart from the taste, it was ok.

Is Tourmo or Shores the call for tomorrow's expected conditions? Or maybe somewhere else?

Juha and I are talking about Tourmo, but with 1'- 3' occasional 4s, I may sleep in and save the gas money for when we get a more decent swell.

Just got back from shores. basically it was 1'-3' occasional 4s. The sets were more frequent earlier and then they died down over time.
Probably gonna be worse off tomorrow from what all the reports are saying. Best bet is waiting until sunday or monday i think.
Not to mention the water was still freaking cold. My hands were blue when i ended my session.

I was at tourmo for sunset...not for surfing...I took the top off my jeep and some chicks I know wanted to ride around in their bikinis.
Holy carp, was that place crowded!

Just got back from Tourmo
It was so small, the first wave I got up on cried under my weight
Got some fun rides, and I need the practice, so iz all good
Water temp still full suit-worthy, but not freezing like before.

Movie Title: "SESSION SCHMESSION"
Scene: Man in ragged boarshorts crawling through desert with a surfboard dragging by a leash on his ancle. Camera zooms in on blazing sun and then pans out to endless desert...
Man (foaming at mouth): "<Gasp> I...need..water...havent...surfed...entire...week...just...w ork...work...work"
Scene: Camera pans mans projected path over dunes onto endless beach and back to man as he drags work weary body over crest of largest dune...
Man (still foaming at mouth): (hoarse croak of joy) Waves!...beautifull waves"
Scene: Dying man uses last strenghth to reach the shore with peeling chest high waves crashing onto sand. Suddenly the air shimmers and the mirage dissapears transforming into a endless expanse of redwood decking blistering under the blazing sun. A figure appears as the man collapses onto the scorching deck. She is carrying a bucket of varnish and a paint brush...
Woman: "Honey? I need you to fix up the deck Saturday. We have people coming over for the holiday"
Scene: Man stares at yet another perfect right peeling beckoningly slow with naked mermaids playing teasingly on the perfect shoulder...
Man: "But,...But..."
Scene: Mans surfboard crumbles to dust and blows away as a paintbrush is un-cerimoniously thrusted into his shaking fingers

OK this might be appropriate...
Three surfers sitting in the lineup. Two of the guys don't seem to happy, but are glad to be surfing. One says to the other two, "Crap, I have to go home and paint the spare bedroom after surfing, wife said, you want to surf, you come home and paint after." Second guy says "G's, that's nothing. I have to go home and clean the garage out."
Third guy is kind of laughing to himself and the other two ask why. "I wake up at 5:00a.m., polk the wife in the ribs and ask her, surf or sex?" She said "Wear your sunscreen."

I surfed in Oside today. Pretty fun sets coming through. real peaky and wedgy with the combo swell. it looked funner from shore then it ended up actually being. lots of mush factor making things kind of frustrating.

Met up with Otter, Bream, and Mike(?) at Pipes -- what a great morning!
Then got the family and went out at Ponto's -- big mistake. Kook factor in full effect. A couple fun rides, though, but there few things as buzz-killing as a 300-lb, sunburned woman from New Jersey floating out of the black ball area right through the impact zone, yelling at the frantic lifeguards "I can swim just fine, leave me alone"...
Shoulda taken them to OSide with Terb

Speak for yourselves, I am at work. But yesterday at Tourmo was really fun. Early a.m. was pure junk, multi directional swell, heavy texture, fog rolled in. Got out and waited about 45 min. Second session was just superb! Not sheet glass, but not nearly as much texture, waves shaped up and broke quite a bit better, though still mushy. All in all, Mikie, Doug and I had a great time! As we were leaving, Juha called and said he was on his way, hope he got some of the good stuff!
