When somebody hassles me in the water I find its best to just apologize and swim away. then make sure you paddle your ass off on every wave to get the priority position from then on. when it comes down to crowded surfing conditions, whoever has the strongest paddle will get the most waves. As a sponger in a standup world, I have to deal with crowds all the time. surfers might resent me at first, but when I show that I can paddle faster, take off steeper, and launch higher than them, they usually end up showing me respect. also Im 6 foot 3 and 230 pounds.

Thanks for all the support guys and gals, but no worries. She threatened me, so if the opportunity arises, I WILL KICK HER ASS, but she'll have to start something. It's in the past, I'd rather forget it and build a happy stoke again. Thanks!

Surf Rage... that kind of behavior can spoil your stoke for sure.
I avoid crowds to avoid problems.

surfed south Oside this evening. smaller and fewer waves than last week, but still fun. there was still a good size set showing about every 10 minutes. caught some fun inside wedgers and pulled off a few barrel rolls. more swell coming this weekend!

surfed our new spot. almost a 3 hour sess....
Started out few and far between.
Then picked up later on.
Nice outsides every 8-9 minutes. Steep drops and if you rode it right, you'd catch another wave later on.
Swapped boards with Mike and tore it up on his smaller board while he took over my boat.
Philo was here, there, everywhere.
Then there was beer and pool afterwards.

Turmo this afternoon. Qave size seemed a bit bigger than yesterday. Really windy & lots of kite boarders. So many I felt like I was going to get run over.

surfed the longboard in south carlsbad yesterday afternoon. there were strong onshore winds but the waves were holding up suprisingly well. I worked on my backside rights, took plenty of spills but also was able to really nail a couple.
I dont know the name of this spot but it is on the PCH a little south of the smokestacks in carlsbad. you go past some houses then you take some stairs down to the beach. the wave reminds me of carlsbad's version of swamis. anyway it is one of my favorite longboard spots and I would love to learn the name of it.

I just looked on wannasurf and I think it might be called terra mar point. seems a bit long for the name of a spot.

surfed twice yesterday! first session was a dawn patrol at tamarack on my longboard. waves were big and clean, the biggest Ive stood up on so far. then surfed the sunset at wisconsin street in Oside, for some really big but slightly bumpy sets. definitely a good time to be in the water this week.

Sounds awesome, Terbius!
I've been wanting to surf that part of Carlsbad for a while now (esp. since it's so close to my house), and you've got me pumped to try it out sometime.

Tourmo this a.m., uncrowded, nice shape, infrequent sets. Running from 2' - 4', plenty of fun for all, lots of nice looking girls today.
