Session Reports

Dont know if a thread like this already exists but here's another one. feel free to add to it.

Surfed at Wisconsin street in Oside on my sponge yesterday for the sunset and high tide. Long intervals between sets but they were worth it. I pulled off a couple of backflips that were sick. There was a double peak coming through at Wisco, from the crossed up north and south swells. You take off on one peak and aim for the other, creating a nice ramp for aerials. the water was so warm, I was in heaven.

The "new spot," ahhhhh that was sweet. Went out at Shores this a.m. and almost got in an altercation with a witch. I'm outside paddling for this wave, and she comes from the south, paddling parallel to the wave saying "watch out, I'm going left!" much to my surprise. So I say, OK, you can follow me. She paddles directly in front of me, snakes my wave and over her shoulder calls me an A$$hole!

I yell an obscenity at her and let it go...

She comes back and starts lecturing me. I tell her "I was directly in front of the peak and paddling into it, you come from the south and try to paddle into the wave. What makes you think it was your wave? I was at the peak and outside..."

She tries to justify her position and of course her buds all sycophant up to her saying it was her wave. UNTRUE! I do not snake waves. I was on the outside and she snaked it from me. Nuf said.

Other than that, it was a great session, shoulder head/high, good rights and lefts. Pretty much a fun morning.

Otter it is that time of year where it shall be crowded and by the looks of it i believe this year will be better than last year when it comes to swell size. so watch out for those who are rude and start preparing yourself mentally to go North Shore on they're a$$. i got your back bud.

Sectioning; meaning swimmers and spongers vs. surfers.

Ok... Let me expalin.
Our esteemed Otter had a run-in with an angry individual in the water. With the water being more crowded not that it's summer and people being jackasses because they can't share waves, people will have more of these stories.

To further add to the issues, several of the beaches here in San Diego section off parts of the beaches for swimmers/spongers only. This forces all of the surfers into about 1/2 of the area. Causing for people to fight for the waves enven more. The worst part about it is that it makes more people venture out and clog the waves at places that do not section off the beaches.

It was at Shores, I've seen her there before, but never realized what a witch she could be. Typical example of arrogance unwarranted. I'd really rather not think about it anymore, traumatic for a mellow guy like me.
