I have had a lot of wetsuits that were super flexible over the years, but that did not last long. I thought the new super flexible rubber did not hold up that well, but was worth the increased flexibility. I then tried an Xcel wetsuit and it was the first wetsuit I have worn to be super flexible and at the same time be very durable. My customers actually talked me into carrying them in my shop. They were stoked on them, so I thought it would be good to carry what my customers were looking for. Hope you new Xcel holds up.

After the first season it tore up on the neck area and on the shoulder. They fixed it fine, but it was a hastle. Simiarly with a 3/2 backzip I bought last year.

I did tell him that my new Xcel had a vneck overlap entry now, so I think they fixed the problem, but hard to say.

I love my xcel, super flexible, but so far they have not been reliable, but hoping my new one will outlast my old ones, if not I'm not buying another, since I like the ripcurl ebomb just as much and fits me the same.

They are super flexible with sealed seams that helps keep most of the water out. I think you made a great choice. I also read in one of the surf mags that one of the Xcel Dry Lock models received wetsuit of the year. What sort of problems did you hear they had?
