La Fonda Surf Guide

La Fonda is a consistent beach break that has potential to be all-time on a good swell. When it is on we recommend experienced surfers only. When the swell is smaller it can be a good place for any skill level to catch some fun waves. La Fonda is usually best on a medium tide, depending on the swell. There are numerous campsites along this stretch of beach where you can stay the night, or you can stay at Hotel La Fonda or La Misión. Both hotels have a nice ocean view bar and restaurant for post-surf refueling. To get to La Fonda, take the toll road past Rosarito and take the La Mision exit heading south. Campgrounds and hotels will be on your right.
